Great to Skate
About Us
Great to Skate was created to spread the love of skating to people in Calgary. All of our instructors have extensive training in either figure skating, hockey,ringette or power skating, as well as extensive experience teaching and coaching. What makes us different from other skating programs is that is in addition to loving to skate, we also love to teach. We have put as much or more attention and effort into how to properly teach skills as we have to our skating and hockey careers. We are also constantly working to improve our programs and our coaching skills to make them the best that they can be. Check out our employment section if you want to work for us.
Great to Skate is also about sharing our love of skating with everybody. We know that our traditional programs may not be accessible to everyone and that's why we have a rink directory and why our blog will features tons of free tips and advice. We are also more than happy to recommend other skating, hockey and figure skating programs in your area. As Great to Skate grows and get established we also look forward to working with charities and putting on free community events.
